Our approach
Getting to know each other first
We start with a personal conversation, either online or in person. We map out your experience, ambitions and preferences, so that we can fully understand you and your journey as an interim manager.
We actively search for the right assignment
After the introductory meeting, we’ll focus on finding projects that match your profile and where you can make a difference - tailored to your ambitions, expertise, and practical preferences.
A proposal that works for both sides
We’ll only introduce you after consulting with you. If your profile matches both the client and the assignment, we’ll clearly highlight your experience and personality. You’ll receive an introduction that’s just right, with a focus on who you are.
Go into the interview prepared and confident
Your business manager will guide you through the intake interview with the client. You’ll receive context about the assignment, the team, and what’s important, so you’ll be well-prepared when you sit down for the interview.
We handle the onboarding down to the last detail
Once a match is made, we ensure a smooth start. Rates, contracts, and agreements are clearly defined. You focus on your assignment; we make sure everything is in order.
Ongoing support throughout your assignment
We remain available throughout your assignment - as a sounding board, sparring partner, and mentor. We think alongside you, follow up, and continue to build your career as an interim manager together.

Frequently Asked Questions
We start with a personal introductory meeting. We listen to your story, assess your experience and ambitions, and work together to identify which projects are a good fit for you. Even if you’re not currently working through us, we stay in touch and keep track of your availability and preferences. As soon as an assignment comes along that’s a good fit (in terms of both content and vibe), we’ll coordinate with you and do everything we can to secure the project. After the project kicks off, we’ll stay closely involved. That’s how we build a partnership that keeps growing, step by step.
Our assignments span all areas of a modern finance organization. These often involve projects in accounting, controlling, or finance management, but they can also include more niche assignments that require specific expertise. Sometimes the focus is on continuity, sometimes on strengthening core capabilities, and sometimes on change. This mix results in a wide variety of projects. Most assignments are full-time, though we occasionally receive part-time requests as well.
Absolutely. We discuss every assignment with you first. Only if you agree with the content, timing, location, duration, and rate will we introduce you to the client. This is followed by an introductory meeting or intake interview with the client. We only start the project once both parties are convinced. Our business managers guide you through the entire process. The better we get to know you, the more precisely we can match you with clients.
That depends on the type of assignment and the client’s specific context. On average, projects last about 11 months. Some are short and well-defined, such as a maternity leave replacement. Others, such as strategic change initiatives, can easily last longer than a year.
For finance assignments, we usually work with an all-inclusive daily rate. At the end of the month, you invoice the number of days worked, and we’ll process payment within 7 days of the invoice date. Sometimes a client asks for a timesheet as supporting documentation; in that case, you’ll include it with your invoice.
Although you work independently as a freelancer, you’re not on your own. Your business manager knows both you and the client and closely monitors the project. If you have questions about the work or if something gets stuck, you can count on a sounding board with a strong finance background.
In addition, you’re welcome to attend training sessions and events, or come to the office to work or catch up. You’re part of a strong network of freelancers and consultants, and we can connect you with them specifically if that adds value for you or your assignment.
