Business Controller at a manufacturing company – Freelance

We are looking foran experienced Production Controller for an international manufacturing company in the Waregem areato temporarily join the Finance team as a maternity cover.

You will be working in an industrial environment where you will collaborate closely with Finance and Operations. The focus is on cost calculations, analysing production performance and improving operational profitability.

• Costing: monthly calculation and updating of production cost prices based on, amongst other things, raw material prices and production data.

• Variance analysis: analysing deviations in material consumption, labour costs, scrap and production efficiency.

• Performance reporting: monitoring production volumes, margins, product mix and results against budget and forecast.

• Business partnering: discussing variances with production managers and identifying opportunities for improvement.

• Budgeting & forecasting: supporting the periodic budget and forecasting cycles.

• You have at least 5 years’ experience in controlling within a manufacturing environment, ideally as a Plant or Production Controller.

• You have a good understanding of cost accounting, cost price calculations and production processes.

• You have strong analytical skills, are hands-on and can get to work quickly and independently.

• You communicate effectively with both financial and operational stakeholders.

• You have an excellent knowledge of Excel and are fluent in Dutch and have a good command of English.
